Additional footage would imply a restored version of the film, which wouldn't be PD.

To get the best quality of the version here at IA, I would go on a hunt for a DVD of that old version. Good luck with that!

I got a copy of the movie on DVD many years ago from the $1 store.

I extracted the dinosaur shots, stabilized them, removed flicker, and used them in a few regional TV commercials. No, I won't say in what market.

You should be safe if you stay away from "restored" versions as source.
